WE ARE D’VYNE FAITH!

WE WERE CALLED!

You will find that during the time when the church was being established starting in the first century, God chose and sent out individuals and teams of His choosing to go out and tell the world about Jesus Christ. Luke 10:1 talks about 70 disciples who were chosen and were sent out in pairs, two by two to spread the good news. Biblically speaking, the number 2 is used to signify a union such as two people being married; the number 2 can also be found in the Bible to signify division, as well.

The number 3 however, can be found in the Bible to signify divine wholeness, perfection or even completeness. The number 3 represents a divine energy for the sake of unity of mind, body and spirit.

As D’Vyne Faith, we believe that God has sent us out to our “Judea” in this 3 pack to share His divine energy and truth with the world through song.

Tesha, Chy and Shawn met through the common ground of our love to sing in and around the city of Atlanta.  We were an acapella group for a long time before band members recruited us. The group was formulated in 1996 and at the first rehearsal, names were tossed around for consideration. We all agreed, finally on the power play on the word “DIVINE” because it is one of the attributes of God and we all had tremendous “FAITH” in God. We wanted others to be able to see the God in us as we sang to His glory.  Thus, “D’VYNE FAITH” was born.

D’Vyne Faith is comprised of a rich mixture of diverse gospel voices. We have been singing all of our lives and God has allowed us to come together to form what can only be described as awesomely sweet, tantalizing sounds of full-blown gospel. The group has been touring Atlanta and the surrounding states spreading the Word in song. Opening for gospel greats such as Dottie Peoples, William Murphy, Dorothy Norwood, Harvey Watkins, Jr. & The Canton Spirituals, and The Gospel Four, D’Vyne Faith ministers from an assortment of songs which includes old familiars such as 'I Feel Good' and 'Stand By Me' along with original songs written by the group members as well.

With the group having several lead voices, our style of music is known to sway from traditional to contemporary gospel with a twist of jazz and Caribbean flavas.

Over the years, D’Vyne Faith has gone through several transitions, trials and tests that have developed and formed them into the three-women power house gospel group that it is today.
